I scan my own photos and send you the digital images rather than
mailing my photos?
Yes,
you can do that if you prefer to. If you do, please scan them
at a minimum of 300dpi resolution and crop for clean edges and
any other post scan processing that may be necessary for best
quality in the DVD video. |
Can
I send you digital images taken with a digital camera?
Certainly,
and if you want them to play in a specific sequence, please name
each image file with the sequence number. i.e. 001.jpg - 002.jpg
- 003.jpg You can provide the images on a CD or emailing

Can
you make a DVD montage from slides and negatives, or just photos?
Yes,
your project can include photos, slides, negatives, or even other
memorabilia such as awards, wedding invitations, newspaper clippings,
etc. Pricing is 49¢
per image and
includes Photoshop editing for optimium quality. |
I
have some digital images and some prints I want to use. Can you
accept both to use in my slideshow?
Yes,
we will scan your prints and you can send the digital images on
a CD along with the prints. Other options for sending digital
images include email, web gallery, or ftp transfer. Please name
each digital file with the sequence number if you have a particular
order you want the images displayed in the montage. |
Is
there a limit to the size of photos I can send to include?
You
can provide photos of any size from wallet size to 8 x 10 and
we will scan and resize them to the ideal resolution for use on
the DVD. |
How
should I prepare my pictures and music suggestions?
It
works great to break it down in sections. Group the photos you
want to include during each song being used. Separate each group
of photos in a ziploc bag along with the song you want to play.
Do this for each section and number each grouping with the sequential
order you want them to play. |
Can
you display the pictures in an exact order?
Yes.
For photos, it works best to mark with pencil the sequence number
on the back of each photo. If you are providing digital images,
name each image file with the sequence number. |
Can
I include video clips mixed in with my pictures?
Yes.
Adding some short video clips can add a lot to a slideshow. Short
segments, typically less than 30 seconds, are recommended for
best results. You can send digital video clips (mpeg, avi, wmv)
or video tapes with the exact time stamp, length, and description
of the clips you want to use and we will digitize the segment
to mix in your montage. |
How
long will it take for my DVD to be finished once I send you my
materials?
The
average completion time takes 2-3 weeks, depending on the overall
complexity of your project and our workload at the time. Please
call or email for more information and a turn around estimate
for your project.

Will
I be able to preview my slideshow before you put it on DVD?
Yes,
we offer an online editorial preview of your show once it is created.
You will download an EXE file, the same way the montage
samples work. Each image will be numbered for easy identification
if you want to request a change in sequence, add text captions,
remove photos, etc. We will make changes until you are completely
satisfied and give the final approval to create the DVD.
